Information for charities

The first Camborne & Redruth Charities Walk took place in October 2014 , 11 walkers  raised over £500 for Camborne Community Centre, Donald Thomas Day Care Centre (amenity fund) and Rainbow Little Cat Rescue.

In 2015 over £1600 was raised for Camborne Community Centre, Macmillan Nurses, Kernow Animal Welfare, isight Cornwall, Cornwall Hospice Care and Cornwall Air Ambulance.

We want as many local charities as possible to take part on 29th September 2019.  If you know of a local charity that could do with some help fundraising, let them know about it, or better still commit to walk and raise money for them.

If you would like to raise money for your charity but don’t have time to organise an event, join in with our ready-made sponsored walk! All you need to do is ask people to download a Sponsor_form or set up a page on mydonate, start gathering sponsors and turn up and walk!

Online donations

Using an online fundraising page is an easy way to help you raise funds from friends and supporters where ever they are.  We recommend where you can set up your own online fundraising page so that your friends can donate directly. We like it because it is free to set up and use and 100% of the funds raised go to your charity.

For your supporters to use mydonate to raise funds for your charity you need to register your charity on mydonate first.

Links to each participating charity will appear on this website.

If you are planning to take part, but are not using mydonate (it is optional) please let us know that you are coming.

All walkers are asked to make a minimum donation of £5 . Excluding event expenses this will be donated to the Mayors charities.

Group registration is capped at £50 so if you have more than 10 walkers in your group please contact me directly to arrange advance payment and to provide details of walkers.

Registration fees are payable on the day.

When you register to start the walk on the day please provide sight of your sponsor forms and make your donation (£10 if not pre registered) . Forms will be returned when you have completed the walk.

Spread the word

If you are involved with a local charity please make sure they know about the walk. You can download the organisation invitation  and share with your local group.
